Blank start menu

I played this game a bit at launch, but decided to wait for patches as it was too bug ridden.
So, with 1.5 I decided to restart. I load to the start menu just fine, but there are now just several white boxes with no text in them instead of menu options such as continue, new, load options etc.

I uninstalled the game through steam. Re-installed. Same issue.
I uninstalled again, went to my Steam folder on D: and deleted the KCD folder from Steam common files.
Same issue. At this point I would like this fixed or a refund issued.

did you delete all your saves too?
If starting over like that they recommended that you delete old saves in case of corruption

Thank you for the response, where would my saves be? I looked through My Documents folder and saw nothing.

I use GOG so not sure exactly for steam. but I found mine under users/me/saved games/kingdomecome/saves/Playline#( the # playline for that time around of saves)

That fixed it, thanks for your help. It must have been a saved setting or something that caused the menu to load incorrectly.

I would mention that I have never had a game not work because old saved games were not deleted. While I appreciate the idea of this game and many good points, this level of programing is clearly beyond Warhorse studios skills.
