I read somewhere that the only way you can remove blood from weapons is to visit a grindstone. In terms of realism this sounds a bit silly. Why can’t I just wipe it on grass or a cloth, or dip it in a stream?
Is there a mod that can change this?

yeah. It should be possible to just clean it. At the very least, clean it when you wash in a trough.
Anyone with a brain would only ever sheath a weapon AFTER removing blood etc. anyways!

Or you can repair at blacksmith to clean the blood. At least that’s what i did.
Or having your laundry done at the bath house.
But yeah, it seems silly you can’t just wash it off.
i used a blacksmiths kit on my mace and it did not clean it, despite repairing it and despite what everyone on here says lol. My mace, to my konwledge, has not been cleaned since I bought it. Axes and swords work at the grindstone, which is still silly…just sell a cloth, it weight .5lbs and there is just a fade out fade back in cut scene for cleaning, like there is for eating…after so many uses you have to get a new cloth, but its like 2093489037 uses cuz a grindstone is free and unlimited. and cleaning clothes should cost like 1g or less…simple
