Strength Perk Boar not working? Or maybe I don’t understand/it doesn’t really do much…anyone else have issues with it?
I can’t say I’ve noticed it work… I’ve consciously tried to run into enemies as well, but I seem to slide off them with no actual impact or resulting affect.
I’m going to play test it more but I’m wondering if it only works on like, clothed bandits or something; people with literally no armor. Or if I have to have my weapon sheathed…idk, kinda wish I didnt put my point into it lol
The perk does specifically state that your armor needs to outweigh the armor of the one you’re running into. I guess what you should to test is:
- Try to run him over
- If it does not work, kill him
- Steal his clothing and compare weights
- Report back
I chose not to get that perk just yet because I am still just starting out, so I am curious!
It doesn’t say that though. It says you deal health and stamina damage, the heavier the armor the more damage…not that you have to outweigh your enemy (Boar is a Perk in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. You can deplete an opponent’s Health and Stamina by bumping into him at a sprint. The effect is increased if your armour is heavier than his. < copied from the wiki). Also, I have full plate arms, legs, curiass, kettle helm, chain haubark, chain chausse, hose under those, gambeson, coif, chain coif, and gauntlets and I’m running into bandits wearing padded gambesons and, if theyre lucky, a helmet. I think I outweigh about everyone I’ll come across lol.
Also carry shield and mace if that counts to weight. Im gonna have to keep working on it and playing around with it but I think it is either bugged out or it is for very early game and only really works on like completely unarmored bandits (people wearing a shirt and pants only) that you find on the roads, not real enemies. Like, maybe it hurts them a tiny tiny bit but not enough to matter
Ah I read over the “effect is increased” lol thanks for the correction!
Definitely sounds broken - I can’t imagine it would only be for that super early game aspect, especially since later on you can still fight against some light-armored but high agility/warfare opponents.
I’ve got a feeling it’s when you ‘Tackle’ enemies. If you tackle them at a sprint then you purely bump into them, sometimes you push them to the ground but it’s rare.
I haven’t tested it yet but I think it means you’ll knock them to the ground when you ‘Tackle’ them
Thats a good theory, I havnt tried that either. But, can you tackled just anyone or do they have to be running away? I took this perk thinking I could charge into battle, do a little damage right from the get go and then start fighting…gonna be a bummer if its just when you’re chasing fleeing enemies down
Yeah that’s what i’m unsure about, i’ve only been able to Tackle bandits and thieves when they’re running away from me. I tried the same thing by knocking someone over at the start of a battle but I purely glanced off them and did nothing
It never worked for me, im wearing - 130 Lb of Armor…
It’s for sure bugged. I tried with weapons, without, hitting all buttons I could think of when I collide, I tried enemies, peasants, fighting me, running from me. Only thing I can do, that I can see anything actually happens anyway, is when I tackle. I guess I can’t prove it doesn’t do damage, as I’m sure it’s not a terrible amount it would do, but it doesn’t appear to do anything. I wish it would just do a little bit of damage but cause a stagger. But as far as I can tell it does nothing right now
And I’m decked out in full plate and chain everything under it plus padded…all slots full, not actually sure on my weight
