Can’t decide on that one, I am definitely a hoarder so carry weights what I’m leaning toward but I don’t want a slow horse either. Hmmm. Tough one.
Depends on whether you favor carrying maximum loot or travelling at fast speeds. Keep in mind that the horse you are given initially is rather mediocre, you can purchase much better horses from the traders.
What did you go for ?
I picked racehorse. You can already travel faster manually than by ‘fast-travel’ if you have a horse, and racehorse makes it even faster. You can buy a better horse with more carry capacity, and if you upgrade your character abilities as well then between you and the horse, you can haul a lot of loot. Also, you can ride your horse even if Henry is carrying too much weight- although this may be a bug.

Well you convinced me. And that’s exactly why I created this thread to get an informed good answer. Cheers mate. Plus If you think about it speed is kinda more unique, what I mean is there’s ways round weight issues, like don’t carry hardly anything and stuff. Speeds a bit more special.
And being I don’t like fast traveling . Speed it is.
I just got the racehorse perk with Sleipnr, i have the best horseshoes and carry bags.
Capacity: 460 -> 408
Speed : 50 -> 65
My opinion; Worth, with 400 capacity on the horse, and 200 on my character, i feel the speed is more valuable.

I went with speed in the end. Carry weight can be overcome easily, speed is more special I you get what I’m saying. Just a more unique perk than letting you carry a few more items.
I’m going to disagree with everyone and say carry weight. More carry weight = more loot at one time = more money = better armor and weapons vs. taking 30-60secs longer to get somewhere…

+1 for carry more weight.
My reasoning is it’s easy to dump stuff onto horse or stash, it’s not easy to get more speed apart from better horses but then just means best horses will be faster, as long as you manage weight I don’t think I’ll need extra carry weight, I allready got perks and saddle so can carry more than I need
This is one of my biggest dilemmas. Even though Jenda is too fast and most of the times I don’t use her at full speed, I’m afraid that I’m going to cripple her by removing speed. Don’t know even if it is worth it the extra carriage capacity. Too bad that there are no reasons to preserve the speed of a horse, I mean you don’t get chased by mounted bandits to consider a fast horse as a solution so I lean to cap>speed. All that considering I’m using Jenda. Can’t say I would lower the speed of a lower tier horse.

Neither because all of the perks break the game especially late game…
I got her in Merhojed. It was love on first sight. In my next playthrough though I will buy Sleipnir. Sleipnir was Odins horse

I would go for the racehorse. You can Increase the capacity with saddlebags but the speed will be decreased. So going for the racehorse and a noble saddle is the best thing to in my opinion. I have Pebbles and a noble saddle with 4 bags. I can carry circa 330 and Pebbles is still fast. But I think you already made your decision.
The brest perk is probably for your horse to have boobs, but that’s just my humble opinion
