Brother Porter dead, cannot enter monastery anymore

Hello,

I think I encountered a quite gamebreaking bug.

I did everything that be allowed to enter the monastery in the main quest line (like getting the writ), but before I want to continue, I spent some time with the new DLC.
For some reasons, brother Porter disappeared during that time (I assume he is dead) so that I’m not allowed to enter the monastery anymore. I wouldn’t like to load an older save game, because I already invested a lot of time in the DLC and side quests.

Does anybody know what I can do or is there another way to enter the monastery?

Try verifying game files. I did this on one occasion to fix an inventory selection problem and Berthold the Huntsman who I had previously murdered made a miraculous reappearance in game.

Actually I forgot to mention I’m playing on PS4. Unfortunately there is no way I can edit my save game :disappointed_relieved:

You can sneak and do this quest the stealthy way rather than infiltrate as a novice. It’s not that hard if you are good with lockpicks and find the easiest way in. Since you won’t be able to talk with people you will need to find physical evidence to identify Pious.

Brother Porter willwalk about and will sometimes be waiting at the entrance, he is your only ticket in.
