So far the game has been pretty awesome to me so far relating to bugs and issues, which I have only one (that really matters anyway). Just defeated Runt, now I’m in the middle of two connecting quests, Pestilence (side quest) and Questions and Answer (main quest). I’m supposed to find a recipe to help some sick folks in Merhojed, so in order to do this I am required to talk to some people there. herein lies the problem; anybody with an ACTUAL name does NOT have a talk option, only a pickpocket option. I can still talk to all the villagers perfectly fine, but I need to talk to Melichar in order to talk to the captive stuck in the barn area, also I’m guessing I need him to find whatever recipe I’m looking for, for the Pestilence quest. I’ve looked online, and so far haven’t found anybody with this particular issue, so I’m entirely stuck with this main quest unable to continue. If there is anybody out there that knows a workaround aside from loading previous save, that would be much appreciated.
If you triggered the Pestilence quest, go to Monastary in Sasau, talk to girl named Johana and then you should talk to Brother Nicodemus to explain the situation about the plague and then read the book there about the cure.
But before that you need to learn to read first.

Fixed. I had to look up the diagnosis online, since I couldn’t find it in Merhojed. From that point on I just told Brother Nicodemus I knew what the ailment was, and after following back to Merhojed everything started to work as expected and I was able to speak to Melichar to continue the quest(s). Thank you for your input WernerWolff, it was very much appreciated!
