Dear Kingdom Come Deliverance team and community,
unfortunately I have to report a bug that occurred during my playthrough of your otherwise beautiful game.
I can’t remember exactly when it started, but I assume after about around 50 hours of playing, I noticed that something had radically changed. Every member of in-game executive forces, regardless if just guards or bailiffs or even the main characters Sir Bernard or Sir Robard, stopped working entirely. As soon as I come by anyone they stop walking and (if at night) lower their torches. I cannot talk to anyone, even regarding main or side quests and although the ‘Talk’-option is visible, it’s greyed out - like it happens sometimes, when someone is performing an action e.g. opening a door – but permanently. And I want to stress, this is game-wide in every settlement and I have played in this state now for, I would guess, at least one, maybe two in-game weeks. No one of the guards, etc. has move since then. I managed to get as far as the ‘Nest of Vipers’ main storyline and now even past that despite this bug.
The only thing that can get them to move again, is criminal behavior in front of them, but as soon as I give up and for example persuade them, they return to their dead puppet state (but through that I managed to have a split second, where the ‘Talk’-option is available and I at least got a conversation going with the Merhojed bailiff for the main quest over there – after that he immediately went static again).
Since I assumed something broke because of some criminal action I had done in the past, I also tried to let them arrest me (and I also tried to pay them off and persuade them), but all of that did nothing unfortunately.
This major bug now prevents me from fulfilling a wide range of quests and activities, which for instance need me talking to Sir Bernard or Sir Robard and I’m not sure if I can even finish the main quest now.
My system specs are:
Asus Prime Z270-K with i7 7700k processor
Asus GeForce ROG STRIX GTX 1060 6GB O6G
16GB DDR4 RAM
Maybe anyone else did experience this issue? Or does someone have an idea what to do? Thank you in advance…
