Bug with the new Haircut Menu

I select the style i want and then nothing happen , they just stand there and i have to manually quit the game :frowning:

Xbox volunteer right here!

Same Problem here.

Game crashes in Haircut menu 100%

This is what happens when you never betatest your game. What a joke company. Why they dont fix the risposte using a shield? SMH

Wait, didn’t they fix the riposte issue?

Its still broken. I fought multiple times against cumans or bandits and never worked a single time.

That’s just sad… Should have been fixed by now.

When the team of bricklayers tell you the wall is finished then I don’t expect any holes in it and I certainly would not pay those bricklayers the same amount of money then the bigger team that delivers good quality walls.

Is this the PRIMARY thread for haircut bugs??

Anyway… Hopefully they fix it soon and hopefully having a “preview” of each style beforing buying it wasn’t officially in the 1.4 patch – maybe they can add that feature when they hotfix it.

Would honestly like to no roll the dice and have to select each and every haircut just to see what they all look like – I’d prefer to have a preview and just buy the ones I like to save time and making it more accessible. Don’t want to waste a lot of time over cosmetics – just pick the one I like and go!

1.4.1. patch is out. download and check it out.

You’re right, I see the 1.4.1 announcement now…

I can’t load up the game though – can anyone confirm the bug for haircut was fixed?

Thx.

Oh look, already fixed…

seems to work for me.

Very good. Now the rest of the game so I can download it and play again.

Post 1.4.1 Hotfix

Same shit.

Please do us all a favor: STOP MAKING EXCUSES FOR THEM.

Why? Because:

1.The f@cking hype:
Despite being a small studio with limited resources, WH took the marketing risk to hype/market their VERY FIRST TITLE as an RPG that was unique from other RPGs. KCD would standout from all the other RPGs on the market because it was a historically accurate first person RPG. The only RPG in the industry which enforced this historic accuracy down to the lowest levels of game play & game mechanics (e.g. swordfighting, combat, NPC peasant routines, food, culture etc). By marketing KCD like this, WH uniquely labeled this game as the only realistic medieval simulator on the market. More specifically, the gritty realism in KCD gameplay is what would make this title superior to other RPGs the likes of Mount & Blade. Even to popular titles the likes 100% fantasy based Final Fantasy. Or industry leviathan Skyrim, the most popular RPG title in the industry to date. Yes Skyrim was made by a significantly bigger dev, and had the distinction of being a title in a 25yr old franchise called TES. But KCD was praiseworthy because it was the MORE SERIOUS and REALISTIC RPG that was based on real history. However, the hype bubble that KCD was coasting on in its first 2 wks of release has been deflated. The game still fails to deliver in performance (aka BROKEN MQ) several patches & hot fixes later.

2.Despite being a small studio with limited resources, WH took the developmental & PR risk to release their VERY FIRST TITLE as a finished game–with the intention of fixing the bugs later. Despite the fact the WH devs KNEW they were releasing a beta version of the game which was – in the words of a WH dev – an “UNPOLISHED release”???

3.Despite being a small studio with limited resources, WH took the developmental risk to release their VERY FIRST TITLE WITHOUT A PRESS OR BETA TEST RELEASE PERIOD. Instead of using this beta test period as a fan base QA/QC feedback opportunity to finalize and polish the game. Instead of waiting to release KCD at the end of the 3rd quarter, when 99% of software devs release their new titles. Because by assuming this risk, WH put their title, franchise brand, and reputation as a software dev in the hands of fate. Which is now being tested with the latest 1.4.1 hotfix, which adds new features that don’t work as advertised to existing game breaking bugs that aren’t fixed.

4.Despite being a small studio with limited resources, WH took the sales & marketing risk to release their VERY FIRST TITLE at the retail cost of $60 USD. This gamble made KCD a AAA title by default of this exclusive price point. Period. Because titles that have been released at this cost to date have been AAA titles, which are the most expensive games on the market. Period. These higher priced games have been released by the larger, more established software devs (aka Bethesda, Rockstar, Ubisoft etc etc) which have significantly vaster resources where QA/QC, tech support and customer service are concerned.

Regarding game trends among Steam PC gamers (who made up 60% of the total sold units in the first 2 days of game release), KCD’s rating on the Steam top 100 title list:

ranked 5/100 (week Feb 13th, at official release)
ranked 39/100 (on Mar 20th, 5 weeks later)
ranks 59/100 (on Mar 31st, i.e as of today Post update 1.4.1)

It seems the game may have reached the point where it’s starting to follow the footsteps of No Man’s Sky…

Steamspy stats are more promising, if on the conservative side:

Bugs and the dev’s lack or resources and/or inability to fix them are killing this game.

If you are not aware of playergroup of hardcore RPG players who favor Morrowind from last 3 TES installment, despise Diablo II because it was a trendsetter for mindless clickfest, you would never understand why the game will be popular for quite a large group of players.

This group, even when liked and still likes Skyrim a lot would understand that KCD gives all what was lost in evolution from Morrowind to Skyrim.

So i would go straightforward to fact, that certain BIG companies tend to pay for bloggers and forum posters to troll the game, to blame game devs and so on.

With all respect to you, you fit my experience with such paid trolls. (mainly because you post in topic, about already fixed bug, which was fixed hours after it was discovered).

We DONT CARE ABOUT STATISTICS about the game from steam. We like the game, period.

Great. Another KCD fan boi.

First: I’m not a @#$%^&* paid blogger. However I DID $%^#%#$ # pay WH to f@ck me over on a $60 AAA title that has FAILED TO WORK ON MY SYSTEM to date.

Second: Yes I’m a TES & Fallout fanboy fanatic. So I’ve played MW because I played the original Daggerfall (back in the days when you needed to use a KEYBOARD AND NO BUTTON MASHING CONSOLES EXISTED). So don’t lecture me on what I should perceive the quality of an RPG to be. I’m fully aware of the swan dive Bethesda managed to take from MW to Skyrim. Much the same way Obsidian’s Fallout 1 & 2 game play was destroyed with Fallout 3 (devolving into a bastardized FPS console friendly title) when Bethesda gave Howard dev control of the Fallout franchise.

Third: Despite the sh#@tty bug fest that vanilla Skyrim was at release, I was STILL able to play the game without any game breaking issues.

Fourth: Update 1.4.1 HAS NOT FIXED THE HAIR TEXTURE ISSUE WHEN USING THE BATH PROPRIETOR. HENRY REMAINS STUCK IN AN INFINITE #@!%$@ LOOP NOT SPEAKING. Another issue is Henry is no longer able to court Teresa after the hotfix. Texture popout glitch HELL still abounds in the game world. NPCs with buttons on their chests as though they’re wearing an imaginary shirt. Event the Priest NPCs sometimes have this and they only wear a monk’s cowl FFS. NPCs hats/trousers apparating/disapparting depending on whether the game engine decides they should load or not. And oh yes…whenever the game is exited, the brightness contrast on my monitor remains EXTREMELY BRIGHT. To the point where I have to restart windows to return my Nvidia card to its original settings.

BTW: Players on other Forums (Reddit, Steam etc) are having the same F@cking problems that I have. And they’re $60 out just like me.

Great if the damned game works for you. It doesn’t for me. And had I held off buying this thing until now, I’d have NEVER wasted money on it given where it’s deranked to on places like Steam. Which–btw–is where I typically purchase my games. I’m out $60 for a broken mess of a game. Unless you plan on compensating me for this loss, then &#@!%^& and carry on.
