Good day, dear WH team.
I’m playining in your fantastick game using PS4 and get only positive experiense. There is some bugs which didn’t make me mad exept this one. When i’m trying to give cages with birds back to NPC -game stucks and nothing happens. May be you already know about this bug, but i didn’t find anything about it in this community. Can you please tell me when there will be new patch fix for PS4 platform?
Weird my last cage Fell tru the floor and i cant pick IT up anymore
didn’t have such problems. only when i was trying to close this case with npc- i received reward and my character start making “monkey faces”…
Could be a bug, I play on Ps4 too and never had a issue. Though I’ve had a bird cage slide all the way to the stream for some reason… I guess the Nightingale wanted to go for a swim? I’d try reloading before you did the quest, do it again, save before you turn into npc and try again. It’s not exactly a sold fix… but I ran into a bug at the beginning of the game with Vashek. Attacking me when I did nothing.

I’ve experienced the same problem:
Collect all the birds, return to the huntsman, enter dialog, he gives you arrows and a reward and then stuck in dialog mode! Only way to get out of it is to turn off the Ps4.
I’ve read on other forums that this is a very common bug, apparently it happens if you save the game (sleeping/ Saviour Schnapps) between collecting the birds and returning them. I did this quest line late in the afternoon and once all the birds were collected it was dark so I thought it best to sleep in the camp that’s located on the way to Ratay from the woods hence the save. And now I can’t end the quest because it freezes during dialog every time even with numerous re-loads the same thing keeps happening.
You can decide to carry on without returning the birds but that leaves you with 6 pounds worth of weight in bird cages to carry around until they fix the bug.
Please Warhorse get this one sorted - it’s so frustrating to a otherwise great game!
I tried to reload game for several times before quest drop-off to NPC - and it stucks everytime. Yes you maybe know- to restart PS4 game application can take for more then 5-minutes. So, i still keep this quest uncomplete until it will be fixed. In other players comunnity - players are speaking about the same problem.
Same here, one of the cages went missing. Another (?) nightingale showed up, but I can‘t get it without a cage.
My cages disappeared too. had to load an earlier save.
Same here. Did save the game before returning the birds to the huntsman. Dialog gets stuck after receiving the arrows and some Groschen. Playing on PC.
Same bug here (PC 1.2.5), stuck in closing dialog without able to do anything but Alt+F4… 
Did someone managed to know where are located files for quest engine, to make (hopefully) a mod to fix quest-related bugs, at least for PC players ?
EDIT : I looked into the xml file of this quest (q_nightingales.xml), located in gamedata.pak > quest > flowgraphs, and tried to fix potential loophole wich could prevent correct quest completion, without success.
Couldn’t figure where it’s a bug, looking other wuest files there are not even structured the same way… that’s odd.
also on PS4 I have randomly managed to set two traps successfully, no idea what I am doing wrong this time, but I can’t set the last one. I drop it, I wait, it vanishes. This is incredibly annoying. Please fix this, as it is a sidequest after all.
