Bushes and small stones are my mortal enemy

So far the vast majority of my injuries have been because i get pinned between an enemy and a bush. Not being able to walk through these things is so far a massive pain while in the forest.

I have also had it at least once where i was stuck between some bishes and a hill, so i could not get out. The game wouldnt even let me fast teavel (told me i could not fast travel from that location). In the end i had to load my last save because there was so escape.

I mean i get it, in real life i cant just walk through a bush, but i also dont get stuck on them as if they are a brick wall. So not sure what to do here, realism vs gameplay, it is a hard thing to balance.

LOL I know…It’s driving me crazy

It also doesnt help that the controls feel oddly slow. Like yes a sword was heavy and would take time to swing, but your nervouse system wasnt slower back then. It feels like whenever i hit the button for an action it takes a noticabke amount of time for it to work. Which means when my butt is stuck in a bush it is far harder to block the attacks that come inbetween me being kneed in the face and being pushed back into the bush.

I haven’t had any control issues other than i wish the right stick moved a little faster. What FPS are you running it at?

I am on xbox so what ever it is standardly set to for that. But i dont think it is a frame rate issue. It isnt that the swing is slow while it is happening, it is that it is slow to even start, i have seen a few posts about this same issue. But it isnt even just when i go to swing, the start for the animation when switch weapons also feels really slow. Like it feels loke he takes a fair amount of time before putting away his bow in order to pull out his sword, for what ever reason.

Oh ok…I’ve read about this issue on consoles… I thought they patched it with the last patch though?

Doesnt really feel like it. I am on version 1.2, but that kind of stuff still feels rather sluggish. Also are you supposed to be able to do counter attacks after doing one of those perfect blocks? Because i am not sure if it is that weird delay or what, but every time i hit the trigger right after doing that block some enemies seem to be able to just turn around and block me right back and then proceed to do an attack that i cant seem to block (as if for some reason my parry attack failed but their worked).

Are you running version 1.2.5 because I found this… Hotfix – Version 1.2.5 (upcoming) We already fixed some of the worst bugs and want to give these fixes to the community as fast as possible. Therefore we will push this to certification on Monday 2/19

I know Xbox is a little slow getting their patches out so I wasn’t sure if it was out yet.

Fix for R2 button being non-responsive in combat
Fix for issues in quests with Hans Capon
Fix for quest Ginger in a Pickle

Have you fully trained with what’s his name and learned Master Combos or something like that? Because you have to do that before you can parry and riposte. Also you have to hit LB and RB at the same time to pull it off. That said, It can be blocked, especially if your stats are low.

Just read an article that said patch 1.2.5 is still being certified by Microsoft.

Ah ok thar must be it, i have done the training enough to learn things like how to do the perfect block, but not the combos yet. I thoight the parry would be a natural thing you would know how to do after learning how to block properly.

I am currently doing the mission where you are finding the bandits that attacked the stud farm. But i have died multiple times now either by being stuck in a corner of bushes, or running into multiple guys on the road that are far better armed than me.

Stop the quest for a minute and go back and make sure you have exhausted all of your training options. It’s Master something option that shows you how to riposte. That will help you a lot in that quest. Also… don’t be afraid to run. I’m assuming you are still low level because that quest is early… If you start getting demolished by someone turn around and take off and try to lose them.

The problem ends up being that i run into them after i have killed the bandits but have taken some damage, so my stamina has been somewhat lowered each time. Though the encounters seem to be random so maybe i will get lucky.

Yea that happens. I usually just sprint as long as i can in random directions till i get lucky and lose them lol

I cringe having to ride my horse through the forest, you get stuck on literally everything which completel stops you.

I think it’s funny that you can walk though almost every character in the game but you can’t walk through bushes.

To be fair i dont think you are actually walking through people, but rather pusing them aside. I for one have been trapped in rooms before because an NPC didnt eant to move.

Ya, it really encourages you staying on the path, which shouldnt be the case
