I don’t know why, but it seems I can’t equip the dagger to stealth kill. I’m on xbox one.

I dont think you can “equip” a dagger but if you have it in inventory and have the appropriate stealth skill to allow you stealth kills you do it automatically from packbag.
On PC it is enough to have it in inventory, get behind them and the option to press to kill is there. Just make sure you have the needed perk for it

I was wondering this too, maybe im too far or something but i cant get cuman or bandit ears even with a dagger/hunting saber on my person/equipped. I figured since knights kept daggers with them to do killing blows it would work to finish someone off thats trying to flee but i haven’t really found much use in it yet. In the store screen it pops up as a secondary too, not sure if it was an oversight or what…
Just look two post above - the dagger is really just for that.
If you have the stealthkill perk and a dagger in your inventory you can sneak behind someone and kill them with the dagger.
That’s stealth, im talking active combat. It’d be pretty hard to wedge a 3 foot sword into the cracks of someones armor while chasing them in a realistic scenario
The day one patch changed things, you could have the dagger equiped in your left hand and use it in combat like a shield. They took that feature out for some strange reason.
