I’m currently about 80 hours in, and am trying to do Needle in a Haystack. Only problem, is that before this mission I could not find Bernard at the Rattay training yard. I waited for several days and he’s gone.
Am I forgetting? Did he leave for somewhere else?

Try to look in one of the rooms of upper castle, nearby arena. I am not sure about this but I think he is living, as you go from the outside gate straight, on the right side are stairs leading up, door on the left, then turn to right.
I’ll check when I get out of the monastery
he should leave the training yard just for bed time and lunch
