Can't fire arrows - Bow won't work

Playing on Vanilla PS4, after latest patch.
Stopped in Ledetchko to play Chumps. Everything went fine until I couldn’t fire my last two arrows.
Proceeded to Rattay, stopped in for Archery Tournament, and couldn’t fire ANY arrows. The other contestants finished, but wouldn’t put away their bows, so I left and got “Disqualified”.
Went into the forest and with bow and better piercing arrows equipped, I couldn’t fire a single one.
Not a controller issue, as buttons work fine w/ fists and sword.
Anyone else experience this? I have reported it to Support @ WH.

Never had your problem.
I am modded with faster arrows, bright color fletching, bow dot mod and robinhood ( has anti-shaking feature) Capon modded hunting bow (110 edition I call my war bow.)and still no Problemo

Not had that problem as such but there is definitely something amiss around arrows on the ps4.
As an example in my curent game I have ten better piercing arrows, when I equip them the game equips six and creates a separate inventory line for the other four. If I then equip the four it changes to one with the unequipped better piercing arrows going up to a quantity of nine. If I equip a different arrow type the better piercing arrows show as a single entry again. Could this be to do with retrieved/damaged arrows? In versions prior to 1.6 I dropped any tournament arrows I had before starting a tournament which seems to prevent the not being able to fire problem. Although it’s a pain, it’s also worth reinstalling the game if haven’t already - solved a few issues I was having playing on the patched version.

What if you try another bow?

Ticket time I guess.
Have you tried going back a few saves and see it is there too ( don’t save again just look and then quit out)? could be a corruption somewhere in he saves or your game itself??

One thing I noticed about arrows, sometimes my inventory shows a certain amount of particular arrows, say “Piercing Arrows.” My inventory might show 12 Piercing Arrows and I equip them. Then the inventory list splits these twelve into two separate groups, although they have the exact same values.
This has happened on arrows that I added poison to. Not sure if that is relevant.
But what might be happening is that you show a certain amount of arrows and expect to be able to fire that amount when the program splits your arrows into two groups, and the second group is not automatically equiped.
Next time when you can’t fire an arrow you have equiped, check your inventory to make sure the program still shows any arrows as equipped.
If you find arrows equipped, un-equip them and then re-equip, and try firing again.
Or try equipping a different type of arrow if you have some in your inventory.
Kirksty suggested trying a different bow, which is a good idea.
I haven’t seen bows degrade to a point that they are unusable, but that is another possibility.
Check you bow’s condition.

XBox One:
I noticed the same thing happening in the arrow inventory.
I am sure I did have some retreived arrows when this happened, and if the program is registering these arrows in a degraded condition, but doesn’t show the degradation in inventory, that may be the cause of the problem.
The inventory program does separate like items that show different degrees of physical condition.
Failing to Label Arrows of varying condition may be an oversight of the developers.

It happened to me. What it is is that some misses don’t register on the scorecard. Say you missed twice,
but the score doesn’t show that so the misses don’t count as shot. The game does count it and it looks like it
shorted you two shots. It didn’t, the score just didn’t show it.

Thank you all.
I pretty much tried all the suggestions, except re-loading the game. Nothing worked, so I slept and saved in Uzhitz Tavern.
Just woke up myself, and fired up the game, and bow and arrows work just fine again. Still scratching my head, but OK…
