Hi, I can’t speak to some important NPCs which means that I can’t complete certain quest. This is getting really annoying because it’s happening in pretty much every quest that I start at this point, which means I pretty much can’t play the game properly at the moment. I am playing on XboxOne.
Not sure what quests you’re on, but I’ve ran into a few issues with this and have no idea if it’s a bug.

I wasn’t able to talk with an npc a few times when trying to talk to them from their back. Walked around them and it cues up conversation

A few times I tried to talk to an npc who was in the middle of something. Ie the Miller wouldn’t talk to me at certain points of his chores, another couple npcs were in the middle of an action ie blacksmithing or opening a door.

Once I wasn’t able to talk to an NPC because they were simply in the middle of trying to leave their house and another time I was a few steps below an npc on a platform

I had missed some part of what I was supposed to do and or the time of the day was not right for me to talk to them it seemed
All resolved, but maybe sleep on it or check the detail of when you tried.
Hopefully it’s something stupid like the examples above
That being said this gem of a game is rough around the edges. Some of that roughness not supposed to be there
Are you using any mods? Because i had a similar issue, and it seams that it was caused by a mod called Squirrel Stash’s Lawless Land (it was for me at least).
