I can not learn a pickpocket.
The miller Peshek does not have a dialogue option to start training.
I believe it only appears after you’ve started the quest “The good thief” and accepted the job. He will then have the dialog option for lockpicking and should, if I’m remember correctly, also have pickpocketing, too.
So, it’s seems it’s impossible to learn pickpocket, if I don’t accept to get death man ring.
I finished this quest by paying up debts.
Much like reading and proper blocking and master strikes, you need to be taught these things.
- Do the quests he offers until you get the option to ask about him teaching you lockpicking.
- Continue to ask him to let you relearn Lockpicking, you can practice on him for until around level 5ish.
- Once you’ve gotten to the max level you can with practicing on him, take the Paid Training he offers then head off into the world (AFTER A SAVE!) and try your hand at pickpocketing real people. Make sure you select the proper perks along the way as they’ll help minimize your being caught!
After you talk to the Miller to gain access to the pickpocket skill, be careful. Pickpocket sleeping targets to raise the skill.
As I said before, i can’t learn pickpocket at all.
I don’t have this dialogue option when i talk with him.
Still I can trade with him, and have quest to steal an illuminated book from Sir Hanush.
I have same problems. I reported it several times. Reported in their bugtracking system ( http://support.kingdomcomerpg.com/projects/kingdom-come-deliverance ), that is abandonned. But nothing. Warhorse just ignores everything. No communication from their side.
When I load save before paying debt, and steal ring for him (“The good thief” quest), I can learn pickpocket. So, it seems that it’s impossible to learn this ability, if you finish this quest just by paying debts.
I know it should, but it did not work for me. I’ve seen tons of videos on youtube, how it should work. It just don’t for me on PS4.
That is because this is giving you an RP choice based on morality. If you pay close attention to the dialogue options Henry is either for against such actions, and you make the choice. Peshek would realistically not be interested in teaching you skills of his trade if you were clearly un-willing to participate in a vetting ritual.
It would be nice to be able to change your mind on such choices or perhaps be able to have more then one NPC capable of teaching the skill.
