Can't update or re-install 0x80070002

Downloaded the beta a while back and installed, but couldn’t launch the game. Each update would throw an error message.

So I decided to uninstall, then reinstall with a newly downloaded launcher.exe

The new launcher is not installing anything, and just throws the error “Unknown bundle setup error: 0x80070002”

I have the same problem.
My game is installed under drive D, but I have no drive D (!!!).
Maybe it installed on a virtual drive that now doen’t exists anymore. 5is that even possible?) Can’t load the game, can’t load the launcher, can’t uninstall the game. What can we do? I wish to reinstall.

If you are still having issues with the launcher, go to your Temp folder and send us a launcher log we can analyze and look into the issue :slight_smile: , the path should look something like this:

c:\Users\ username \AppData\Local\Temp\GameLauncher\ GameLauncher_20160323_131251_2507.log

Also please do note that in order to see the AppData folder, you need to have the “Show hidden files” enabled. You can also type %temp% in address bar to be redirected to the desired folder and save yourself some time.

The problem however is, if you’ve encountered various errors, the possibility is, you will have several logs in the mentioned folder. This is no problem, if the issue keeps, occurring - you simply reproduce it again and a new log will be created. If it however happened at some point in past and is not happening anymore, it will be hard to locate the right one in the sea of logs.

UPDATE: Logs related to install/uninstall issues are however located at c:\Users\ username \AppData\Local\Temp\ and the name of the file goes like this: (KCD_Beta_Access_date_and_time.log) so in case of issues related to installing/uninstalling please do attach these.

thank you for the logs provided, however I hate to say these are still not the ones we need. As I mentioned the ones we need in your case are the ones located in the Temp folder (not the Gamelauncher sub folder) and they go by a name KCD_Beta_Access_(DateAndTime)

I will send you the logfiles in the weekend.

My “weektime laptop” works fine. With my “weekend desktop PC” I can’t even go into the specific folder I guess (I can only check this at the weekend) since the game is installed on D:\ drive, which doesn’t EXIST on my desktop PC.
