Hey guys,
I wanted to improve my fight skill and I wanted to train riposte with captain Bernard once again.
But he didn’t have his sword and won’t to do anything in the arena, he is completely frozen. So I was stuck and I had to go back to the latest save. Fortunately it was only few minutes back.

old save used?
Oh, sorry, that I didn’t include the information in the first post.
I’m playing on PC. Game version 1.6.2. I don’t have any mods installed. And yes I loaded old save (it wasn’t completely new game.)
After i loaded save it didn’t happen.
The devs have warned about old saves and new patches not playing nice.
As far as I know they only recomended to start a new game with 1.5 patch.
1.4 had a coding error in it that caused 1.41 in a hurry to be put out and since then the said as such

This is known issue and it unfortunately may happen rarely. It doesn’t matter from which version your saves are .
The thing that fix Bernard is to reset his pose, which for player means to reload (maybe waiting him to went sleep too).
Save&Exit plus reload usually fixes all stuck/freeze NPC problems. The thing is that this particular Bernard arena bug happens in combat stance, so you can’t Save&Exit.
giot same problem on xbox one, save and reload don t work, becouse come the information that I m in combat.
