Captain Bernard - Training - Master Strikes - Can you teach me ripostes with a sword ?
Hey Folks, just wanted to share something i came across, turns out to be a minor bug that makes one feel it is broken, unless i am the only one who had this issue. When doing the above ^^ it led to me fighting Bernard.
Tells me quest started, then updates the quest right away saying 1/3 perfect blocks completed, without me doing anything, this led me to think i need to perform more, WRONG. You have to listen to what he tells you and not the quest prompt, you fight him. Prove yourself by hitting him, here performing a perfect block, followed by a combo helps, regardless fight as you normally would and after a few minutes he will say enough and will teach you finally, you attack him and he counters THEN he attacks you and THEN FINALLY you perform the perfect block the quest tells you to perform from the start.
I hope this helps someone as i thought my saved game was broke, i searched in hopes to find a video of this training session but found none, then went back to a very early save and had same issue till i got annoyed and fought him and completed the quest XD. Maybe this is the wrong category, let me know.
