Castles and their plasters

Hi all,

I see from all video updates, that castles are without plaster. My humble question is: Why?
As far as I know, castles originally had white calcium plaster. It had two reasons. First, it was protecting stone walls and second, castle could be seen from far distance, so an enemy would be afraid.
@warhorse: Do you plan to add plasters on castles?

Thanks for answers or any reaction.

it is white. look:

on the wall in the right background you can seem some parts the white coat has faded

Recall something similar, but the curtain walls in question are old by the time the game takes place and as you see faded
in the screenshot or is that just coincidence?. Still it is a very good point.

It was wery probable that castles were heavily painted. As an example I attached an image of the castle in Janowiec (Poland). As you can see there is not only white plaster - all figures and stripes had determent role in the past.

Did the Knights Teutonics not build tons of red brick castles during this time period?

Surely not in Bohemia, it’s not Germany.
