I have a slow internet connection and i receive today my CD’s from DHL but it’s still downloading 35gb so i have to download the hole game and the CD are useless?

This is why people purchase games digitally now a days. I guess it might ask you to insert it, if not, then keep it on a shelf.
I wouldn’t be doing that…just in case you need it, I don’t usually purchase game discs for PC. So I’m not entirely sure.

I have this ritual from the ancient times of pc gaming in which i watch the slowly progressing bar, swap media and read the manual during installation. But since i got estimated installation time of 14 days, and Warhorse decided to ditch previously promised printed manual, i rather downloaded the whole game from Steam instead.

Oh, that’s strange… maybe the installer checks which files are already obsolete due to patches, skips their installation and download them directly from the internet then.
If this is the case the whole DVD box is really useful only for displaying on shelf.
