Character reset on game release

Hi, been following this game for quite a while and just about to purchase the beta. I was wondering if character builds would be reset following the release of the game or would they transfer over to the final version ?

Also, would love to become a character in the game

Characters reset. You won’t be starting the game with maxed out stats and with full gear.

Yes, you will start completely fresh in the final game. It would not make any sense to do otherwise because this would not fit to the story.
