Characterization of Henry

I have to admit. RPG means to me that I have the choice how the PC is developing in which direction and in which way he helps the people. Or he did not.
KCD is placed in a historical era means nothing big will happen because it cannot be. This means only Henrys social environment will notice the actions from him. On which way are the actions, done and not done quests evaluated in the game? Do I get an after credit card with ‘Henry is the hero we not deserve’ because he solved alot of quests to his own benefit no matter if it is useful to the quest client or involved not bad people? Or ‘Henry was Mary Sue. And donated his both kidneys.’ when he helps the people only to make their life better? Or is the game only use the decisions of the main quests to make a calculation on which way the final fight will ends?
Is Henry a Gerald without influence by the player to make an own character out if him?

I can’t even begin to understand what the hell did I just read

RPG means “Role Playing Game”.

Not really worried about what it means “to you”; the definition is playing a role.

Henry is your role. Either play it or don’t.

I have to admit.

Thank you. Admitting is the first step to stopping your addiction. Wait, wrong thing?

RPG means to me that I have the choice how the PC is developing in which direction and in which way he helps the people.

A Role Playing Game is a two-sided coin. On the one hand, you have the D&D version of RPG, which you’re most likely referring to, and the other side of the coin is you play a set role, such as Geralt of Rivia, Commander Shepard, Henry of Silver Skalitz, etc.

Or he did not.

Well now he sounds like an asshole.

KCD is placed in a historical era means nothing big will happen because it cannot be.

It’s set in 1403 Bohemia. Besides the Hundred Years War between England and France, the game takes place around King Sigismund of Hungary abducting his inept and drunken brother (whose name I have forgotten. Will edit) I’m pretty sure nobody is just going to sit back and let this shit happen (unlike today’s Europe…)

This means only Henrys social environment will notice the actions from him.

He’s a blacksmith’s son. A slightly better peasant, true, but he is noticed by the nobility. That’s no where close to normal.

On which way are the actions, done and not done quests evaluated in the game?

Well…I mean…the whole game kinda REACTS ACCORDING TO YOUR ACTIONS. Not like the NPC’s are programmed that way. No, no. Never…

Do I get an after credit card with ‘Henry is the hero we not deserve’ because he solved alot of quests to his own benefit no matter if it is useful to the quest client or involved not bad people?

I…what? I’m confused. Do you want like what we had in the Witcher 3 where they pause to have Geralt narrate about something then return to the game?

Or ‘Henry was Mary Sue. And donated his both kidneys.’ when he helps the people only to make their life better?

I’m about 99.9% sure that would kill him, if not by losing both kidneys, then by the surgical procedure itself.

Or is the game only use the decisions of the main quests to make a calculation on which way the final fight will ends?

Uh…hate to break this to you, but the final fight is already decided, regardless of your actions. It’s called history.

Is Henry a Gerald without influence by the player to make an own character out if him?

Geralt. Geralt. GERALT IS FROM A BOOK SERIES. HIS WHOLE DAMNED HISTORY IS WRITTEN IN SEVEN BOOKS AND THREE VIDEO GAMES. The players never had any influence on him. He was a preset role for us to play, like what Henry is. Again, you’re thinking of Dungeons and Dragons RPG, where you make, shape, and play your own character, whereas Kingdom Come: Deliverance and The Witcher 3 are preset roles to play.

How I said. I am playing RPGs like Dragon Age Origins, Mass Effect/Andromeda. Maybe you could add The Sims Medieval, this had RPG elements, too.

I’m about 99.9% sure that would kill him, if not by losing both kidneys, then by the surgical procedure itself.

That was an exaggerated example for the ultimate good character you had played. Henry was the most selfless hero who cared for everyone. Or Henry betrayed the client and toked everything for himself.
My question is which way of role play is this game. I have not understand it, yet. RPG, yes. But I played RPG with a Character Editor, character stats and their impact on the story and behavior of the character.
How does it impact the dealing of the game when I help some People? Or I cheating them? In the Landthing from Dragon Age Origins you could get your wished result with cheating the Queen. Before the meeting you can say to the Queen you will support her that she can keep the throne but after she helped you during the Landthing you can do the opposite and give the throne to your friend. (Makes a lot of fun :D) And he is thanksful to you and your Character is maighter than in the situation, if he would have helped the Queen.
I want to asking if something like that, betray your “Business partner” and let him pay.
In PoE the village will let you know if they knowing of your doing and will tell you what they think about it.

I am very exietd of the game but I am not sure that I did understand it.
Witcher I have never played, because Geralt is the same character in each playthrough.

Mate… if you’ve never played the Witcher series of games, then you’re doing yourself a disservice as a self reported RPG fan.

KCD is a game where you can play out the life of Henry how you see fit; meaning through interactions and dialogue options. Actions or inactions. You can choose your play style and how you approach quests or… how you don’t. You will always be Henry the son of a blacksmith. But your Henry will differ to others in a variety of ways. Not only from a skill and attribute PoV, but also from a narrative perspective as well… and whilst we can’t change Henry’s facial features or the way he looks, we can dictate what he wears, and how he interacts with the game world.

Believe me when I say; he grows on you…

I had my doubts initially as well. Skipped the first game entirely and jumped straight into TW2: Assassins of Kings. Still one of the best opening sequences I can remember in any game.

Give Geralt a chance man. By the end of the series he’s such a well fleshed out, deep, powerful and charismatic character that you can’t help but love the guy. I mean, don’t take my word for it, check out the reviews literally everywhere and decide for yourself if it’s worth it.
