I’ve encountered a bug in the quest “Clothes make the man”. Hans Capon told me to get clothes from his chest in his room. In his room is a chest located but I can not open it because I can’t interact with it. There is no open prompt when I look at it. Therefore the quest can’t be completed.
Is there a workaround?
I’m playing with the 1.3.1 version of the game.
You don’t actually need the clothes from the chest, just wear your fanciest outfit. If you speak to Hans and try to start the quest, he’ll check your gear and let you through. If not, visit the tailor and get something spiffy.
I really don’t know when the last time was when i saved before accepting this quest. Is there no possibility to access this chest?!

I can’t acces the chest nor can i interact with Hans. Please a fix or official reply?

Same bug, playing 1.4.1 on pc.
It did work before the patch 1.3.
You can still get the same quest result by dressing up with your own fancy clothes, but it sucks that you can not get them like it is supose to.
Like with all patches by this studio: some new bugs always come along…
I have the same problem since 1.3. My quest is stuck and i can’t finish it.
I have a theory on why this is happening and I wonder if everyone else who had this problem did the same thing I did.
Did everyone take Han’s clothes in the bathouse during the previous quest?
I did not. I also was in my best armor all shiny and best shape and best noble clothes underneath.
He said his line and said I didn’t need what he offered and I looked as good as any vassal but could retrieve the clothed later, again in is skivvies and no weapon.
the bathhouse and robber baron are still bugged as far a Capon is concerned.
Bummer… Seemed like a solid theory. Haha. I’ve just moved on with the main story and will come back later as others have suggested…
