Chest with 700k+ amount of loot?

Definitely a bug?

Chest had 715 Broad Axes, 20 Page Swords, and plus a lot of other stuff including a unique sword called Granddad’s Old Sword. 40 Falchions as well.

Did WH mean to leave all this gear here? It’s in a very hard chest but it has like 700k+ value in gold.!

Must be a mistake, but hey, money is money …

It has to be, but I’m not going to loot it and sell.

I’m trying to not cheese the game. This is another unintentional chest just like the notorious end game chest right outside of Neuhof with the best weapons and some of best armor in game and it that’s accessible fairly early. WH awknowledge the chest and are fixing it next patch though – but I already found it before I even know it was unintentional lol.

In any case, the economy among many other things needs a hard nerf in this game.

Did somebody know what Grandad´s old sword is for? Or is it only a gimmick?

It’s easy to make tons of money, I doubt there’s any way to fix that, it’s just how games work.
Though I do think armour and horses should both be more expensive, especially horses, maybe up to 10k even for the best ones.
And since it is so easy to make money you can just do it for the numbers.
Whether you have 20k or a million doesn’t change anything, because in both cases you’ll not have a necessity for more anytime soon, with that in mind it’s better for bragging rights.
And when they implement you being able to buy land (which I doubt) you could instantly buy a castle or two.

Is that chest outside the wall?

It’s in a guard tower behind the church. The door was always open and there is nobody guarding it. I think it was on the second floor.

I would love to see differences in market inventory and pricing from town to town, if it is already this way it is hardly noticable. I feel like I can buy all the same stuff in every town and relatively the same price, minus highborn/lowborn perks and reputation. Am I wrong? Are the markets different at all?

The markets offer you price depending on your rep.

Sasau and Rattay armorer’s and sword smiths do actually have different wares. They carry a lot of the same things but the swordsmith for example in Sasau carries a few unique swords that Rattay does not. Fear Not, Duelist to name a few.

oh cool, I probaly just didnt notice and i havn’t seen everything by any means. Good to know.

I never saw any guards in that tower, bows are hanging on the walls there too and a few other items are around.

Like in many games, if you grind a bit, you can make enough coins pretty easily. Now if only we applied that to real life instead of playing games :grimacing:

There is actually lot of good starting gear in that tower, unguarded.

You can have a nearly a full set of brigandine, and a few plate pieces in very easy chests.

Several medium tier long/short swords are in the area and lots of bows.

Because so much good loot is available early, if you know where to look – on higher quality armors there needs to be an agility and strength requirement so Henry can’s steam roll everything so early in game.

I think it’s perfectly reasonable to say that if you’re not fit enough to wear armor, then your effectiveness should be decreased.

Well I know now what chest I’ll be looting first when I replay the game.
