Im here because of CR promotion on Star Citizen.
Have looked at the German trailer of SC. The most interesting statements were the last 2 minutes. Good man, Chris! Super Cool Game! Great graphics! Interestingly multi-player approach. But: space = fictional, all imagination. Middle Ages = real, verifiable and known everything. Completely different genre, other buyers target group, other mechanics, other approaches, goals, individuals (presumably) with unknown genetics and logic. And, on the other budget ⊠Except in a few technical areas, PR and sales experience and possibly the distribution, I see no strategic advantages.
Just found out about this project via the Star Citizen Forums. I have backed. All the best.
Welcome to the newcomers that were pointed to this by Chris Roberts. Itâs great to see indies teaming up in any way, especially given the fact Warhorse went the Kickstarter route as a last resort since publishers seemed to like the game to an extent but wanted something people are more used to - the high fantasy, magic, dragons, less realism, etc.
A project like this hitting its backing within 36 hours AND getting a late push like this only helps the gaming industry as a whole because it proves concepts like this have gamer support. I think the wait will be worth it.
Some of us have bin here since the startâŠ
It can only help make both games better.
And it is yet another clear âfingerâ to the publishersâŠ
I donât think that people who like accurate depictions of middle ages hate anything that is not realistic. In fact I bet a lot of the people who are into SCA and similar things also like sci-fi. Or at least as much as the general population. And I think that programming is more than âfew technical areasâ. Story is king in an RPG but programming is also important. And if you have useful technical tools that make building the game easier, you can focus more on what you want to tell.
I love fantasy games, but sometimes I also want to play something that tries to be more realistic within the scope of what a game can be. Thatâs why Iâm perfectly fine with this one being devoid of magic, dragons and that side of things. Itâs all about variety and quality.
Star Citizen Website had a link to Kingdom Come Kickstarter page so I decided that if CR likes it I might too. So i just start reading about the project on the Kickstarter page. As I read I come across a word, one lone word that makes me automatically enter my payment info and back this game. The word?? Braveheart!! Sold. Love the idea of the game and think its gonna be AMAZING. Just wanted to give props where due. Thanks CR youâre the MAN!
so true,
as I amâŠokâŠnot really from the beginning on but already longer than the post of CR
Backer # 21,002 here we been here for a while man lol.
RSI name 4thekore
How do you tell your backer number?
Maybe by remembering it from the moment he backed⊠cool!
This sounds like a regular stuff of dreams. If someone told me about a possibility of someting like this happening some day or two ago, I would seriously think heâs kidding me.
Be kindly welcome in our Kingdom, good Star Citizens. Please, land your starships in designated areas on open meadows, so that some poor peasantâs crops would not get burnedâŠ
That is why I joined up!
I hope with all the Star Citizen people coming over will get past the 1,000,000 goal!!
Do not get me wrong, every genre has its justification and it is only good for players to have a selection real good games. If indie studios support each other is also to be welcomed. Especially since here are 2 really extremely professional developers together. Because of my work (advertising) Iâm just hypersensitive when it comes to copyrights.
The project is too precious and WH has struggled too hard to realize, that it should remain alone their merit. Both of these games look already so grandios and I wish the two developers the best results.
After I pledged like 30 secs later I looked at the pledge count.
Too bad I canât go back in time to Feb. 5, though it was obviously already well past hitting its goal by then.
Iâm here from RSI as well. Chris has delivered on big games before and his enthusiasm on RSI convinced me to back.
Just arrived here; using same name as on RSI.

Ooooh, future playable alien race possibility just opened up: low-tech race still under âFair Chance Actâ protection. Their tech and weaponry as same as this game.
Not likely, of course, but not impossible. (whatâs the emoticon for mischevious grin again?)

Lot of us Star Citizens have been here from the early days of the campaign, namely some us Czechs.
We have had a thread dedicated to Kingdom Come: Deliverance since 19th December 2013 on the Star Citizen forums, way before Warhorse went Kickstarter.
By the way, Chris Roberts backed it on 22nd January 2014 at the latest: https://twitter.com/croberts68/status/426092259767877632
