CLASSES and Roleplaying

whats up guys what Classes can i play in this game? Cuman viking Knight Bard thief soldier and more but how to play them?

You don’t have many choices because you’re always the same Bohemian teenager. So you can’t be a Cuman, you can’t be a Viking, you’re always Henry. You can specialize Henry as an in-your-face warrior or more of a sneak, and to some extent you can be both, although at higher levels perk choices tend to force you one way or the other.

Besides these main “vocations”, you can also choose to spend time leveling up various non-combat skills, like Herbalism. These sorts of things can be used with either of the main character types.

So I cant roleplay as a viking?

The game is about 15th century Bohemia(The beginning of the 15th century). There’re no vikings and etc. About classes and etc… They don’t exist in their general meaning, but things you do mostly becoming better with practice. Like: I’m fighting with bastard sword = better skills in it. Shooting with bow and hunting = both. Simple as math. :smirk:

All I would say is that if you want to play a certain type of character, you can prioritize skills to focus on. For example, I wanted to play a “Paladin” like character, which, to me, means an honorable knight who can heal himself and others and is charismatic. Now, there are no magic powers in this game so I can’t use healing magic, BUT there is alchemy. And the First Aid perks in your main level. I focused on Strength, Speech, Mace, Defense, Herbalism, Alchemy, and Reading. Over time, I became the character I wanted to be. My first aid skill even helped me finish a quest! I’m working on making other “class builds” but honestly, just play the character you want to play.

Wanna be a Viking? What about a light-armored Berserker? Focus on Strength and Agility, use Axes and Shields, Use Herbalism and Alchemy to make Bijov’s Rage potions and go on a berserker frenzy!

What about a Hunter? Focus on Agility and Speech, Use Hunting Shortswords with no shield, get the Light Armor perks, and go hunting to increase your Hunting and Bow skills and make some serious money, maybe adding Herbalism/Alchemy for the Forest Ranger vibe (not to mention Bowman’s Brew!)

Seriously the possibilities are endless. Just gotta be creative with your roleplay!

EDIT: Quick note, you will always start off as the Blacksmith’s Son who can barely swing a sword. If you wanna roleplay a certain “class” then don’t worry about making Henry that class from the beginning, because it will frustrate you. Grow into the character, maybe setting a few morals and values at the beginning, but let the abilities come naturally from what YOU want Henry to become, not what you wish he already was.

Henry can become a sword master-expert archer-thief demigod-herbalist extraordinaire … it’s not exactly a class but what more is needed?

Yeah, you can become a master of pretty much everything at some point and there’s nothing wrong with that. I just chose to roleplay Henry a certain way with certain favored abilities. And now I’m playing him a second time as a completely different Henry. To each their own!

Like the flexibility of not being limited to a class identity, but wish there were some staging or opportunity cost associated with development. Being able to be a master of all by summer’s end is irreality

Guys thanks you for All ideas maybe i Will play a viking or a thief for my next play or a dark hunter with not that good reputation
