Clothing explanation

Good health to you.
Can someone please explain me, how does the clothing in game works? Like, how much affect you clothing dirtyness, “health” of each piece of clothing, blood on my sword and maybe how to raise my charisma, but still have acceptable level of armor?
Thank you so much, God bless you.

I had like 16 charisma when i left bathouse in Sasau. +2 would be from “Knight in shining armor” perk

This set:

Then i spent a lot of time looking for a treasure, west from Sasau. Like… 1 real hour. I fell into the river, it was raining, mud was everywhere. Never got my armor so dirty before. Charisma dropped to 3, which was just bonus from herbalism and one other bonus.

Armor did not changed as i did not fought anyone and the armor had full durability.

After the figth, the armor would decrease too.

Thank you, buddy.
So for maximum level of charisma for my set is very important to have clean armor and fixed, is that right?
And do you think, that have different sets for each quest (like armor for fight and shirt for date) worth it?

Its worth to have sets for:

  • close combat - can be slower
  • range combat - you have to be fast at all cost
  • sneaking - low conspiciency, and visibility and low noise
  • high charisma, hich conspiciency and visibility

Okay, thank you.
I assuming, that you have different sets on your horse, right?
-sorry, for my english-

I know this has nothing to do with this topic but where did you get this armor? Especially the helmet and that Skalitz surcoat.

After end of main line i went to Talmberg to train lockpicking (in my game training chest broke). Sir Radzig’s surcoat was in the castle, in room of Sir Divish.

Bascinet was worn by a Bandit leader in one of the quests for Sasau Monastery Custodian (quests to kill bandits in Rattay, then Talmberg and at last in Sasau). Those guys have more unique items - such as the Noble’s plate chausses.

Also even when Stinger was in a chest for Treasures of the past, i noticed one on the ground when fighting in Talmberg castle - last bigger battle. I also found “Silent boots” which have noise 0.

Game contains a lot of unmarket unique items. People have to look carefully on every item, else they might miss something unique.

Also Dark Padded Coif (which combines defense of padded coif and dark coif) cannot be purchased from vendors, drops only from bandits. Nobles cuirass the same

Edit:
btw I dont know if random encounter bandits drop anything unique. Those seem to be RNG, and only once or twice when i met well armoured bandits, the loot was worth to keep.

I have different sets in my horse.
Idd for sneaking or going to taverns

Ok thanks. I use a mixture of Nurembergian and Milanese plate armor and the Grand Bascinet as helmet.
Stupid question but why do you need a special outfit for sneaking? If you just take off all your clothes you have zero noises, no?

Wearing black reduces Visiblity and Conspiciency - you are less visible and its an actual mechanic.

Different items have different noise - as I mentioned there are “Silent shoes” which make zero noise.

First of for me for roleplaying.
All black outfit for visibility. Is always better than the white standard shirt.
Tavern clothes is obviously for rp purpose

Well I only carry a plate armor for combat and a noble outfit for speech. Didn’t need much more until now.

In later stage of the game, you are required to do some stealth, lockpicking and pickpocketing stuff.

For that purpose I had gear, but my stealth was like 3. So when there was a mission where i had to take down enemy guards without raising alarm, i could not perform it. So before the misison i headed to Uzhitz and opened all available chests to increase lockpicking and stealth to level, where i could use the “Stealth kill” perk.

Thats what makes this game so great. You may play as an archer, as a knight, as a sneaky thief, as a cunning speaker and swindler.

For next playthrought i might try to put all bandits to sleep, and just steal the trophy quest items from them to get rewards from guard captains

Well I try to play as the “shining knight” so I’m a bit bummed that you have to do the stealth, lockpicking and pickpocketing stuff. I always tried to avoid that. Anyway since I had to do some stealth here and there, thankfully my stealth level is almost 5 (this is the level where you can learn the “Stealth kill” perk if I’m not mistaken). I’m currently at the part in the main quest where you have to find Reeky in Ledetchko but I did many side quests before so I don’t know how long it will take to get to that mission you mentioned. You think I can do that mission if I reach level 5 in stealth or do I also need to be good at lockpicking and pickpocketing? Because there I’m only at level 3…

I have one set of armour for everything. Charisma 13+5=18 after using a trough, consp. and vis. in their low 40s and noise 14 (thanks to the maintenance perk). I could wear something with a lot more protection, but I get a decent amount with this set across the entire body.
