Just in case nobody’s taken a peek lately, since hitting the $2 million USD mark almost another $70,000 has already been raised. This particular goal is well on its way to funding, so I think we can definitely look forward to a more in-depth history of the period coming with the game.

In fact it was the codex what definitely brought me to backing the game developement. The codex and the live stream. (I was extremely surprised and thrilled by the state of the game and it’s potential. I had seen the video updates before but it was the live stream what enthralled me and convinced me to back the game and even get the alpha access. I suppose I would perhaps pledge even more money and upgrade to one of the collector’s tiers. 
But it depends.)
The codex stretch goal fulfilment seems almost sure. I wonder what would be next?

I rly like the codex stretchgoal I think it was a very good Idea to implement something like this.
And we should reach it, thats even better
I guess after alpha release even more people will pledge when more and more footage etc. will reach the people. Time to think about next stretchgoals. Should be something that is nice but not too hard and time consuming to implement. Theres nothing that comes into my mind atm but maybe the alpha will inspire me

One of the most interesting stretch goals so far. Even though I have no idea how they will implement it. IMO the description could be clearer on this point.
it’s an interesting stretch goal and from a developers standpoint it has few dependencies to the rest of the game development - other than not contradicting yourself between game and codex, of course.
Besides, much of the information going into that codex should be there already if you try to make a historically accurate game, even if it’s not organized nicely or formatted for external use.
It seems to be a great example of figuring out a stretch goal that won’t really impact production/development times because it’s not tied to specific gameplay overall.

Yeah, I am really stoked about this.
I actually made a request to Warhorse to the tune of ‘don’t forget future tourism’ where I asked for something much like this. As they are doing research on the places and people… don’t throw it out, edit it, format it, and give it to people that might want to visit some of these places in the Czech Republic.
The Codex is that and then some… So to me, this almost feels like a personal request being fulfilled (I know it wasn’t, but it DOES feel that way). So yeah, I am really stoked on this stretch goal.
And having come over from Star Citizen when Chris Roberts pointed me to here (and a sincere ‘thanks’ to CR for pointing me here… I had not heard of it until CIG announced their partnership, checked it out… and was blown awat. I was happy to hand Warhorse some cash… and still am. Besides, if there is one thing Star Citizen backers know well, it’s stretch goals (and how to shatter them… closing in on 60 mill fast over there two weeks tops and they break 60 mil… where does it stop? 75? 100?)
Anyway, I really want to see this stretch goal hit, and it looks soon to me…
