Combat Failure

So in the quest where you storm the bandit camp, Archers are practically immortal. When it gives me the option to take out the archers, I’ve tried getting them with my bow, though my bow skill is still pretty low. So the next thing I tired was rushing them with a sword. But when I tried standing them, Henry backs up and then stabs; not landing a single hit. This doesn’t happen in any other scenario except going against these archers. I’ll have to upload a video, but I’d even run right into their face and try to stab with no results.

Finally, there was one archer left while defending the position during the battling ram sequence, and I was hidden from sight. I was in a tent, yet he shot me through the tent and it projected me out of the tent and into the battlefield.

I still haven’t beaten this quest yet, and I’m getting so tired of these archers.

If the attacks completely failing to hit the archers was a one off bug, maybe try to loot a shield and use that as defence from the arrows while you slay them. I’ve never used a shield so I don’t know how effective they’d be against arrows.

I use a shield, and it almost never blocks any arrows here. In normal situations, it does. But not in this quest

There is an option to set a haystack on fire to obscure their vision but I’m not sure how well that works but could be worth a try. It’s on the hill to the left of where the cart gets pushed out of the way. You’ll need a torch however.
