Community artists Contribtions for War Horse

Hello everyone, Greetings from Canada!!!

I am a 3D Generalist, 3D animator and VFX artist from Ottawa, Ontario Canada and I would love to be apart of this production in anyway possible. It is with great pleasure I have seen War Horse grow from a small whisper to a powerful war cry online. I would consider it an honor to help my reward would be to find feed back directly from those whom I have fallowed for years.

How would War Horse feel about the community Contributing assets and creating art for the game?

Fan Art, Assets, Characters, Mocap data, anything? Daniel, Viktor and Martin could pick the very best work.

I am a Huge fan of Daniel Vávra and his work and would relish the opportunity for these amazingly talents to critique any of my work.

I believe RSI is doing something along these lines with the new star ship contest.

Please any thoughts anyone would like to add.

you send in your portfolio, they give you a simple object to create with limited time frame. then you make the object within the allotted timeframe and send it to them. this is to test your ability to follow directions, ability to go above and beyond to research further about the object you are creating and of course your talent and skills.

enthusiasm is not a good substitute for knowing the art style and requirements of a project to maintain aesthetic consistency. so if they told you to make a 1400s helmet and you ended up creating something that looks like it came from dragon age or skyrim, i don’t expect that would be a good message to send.

well Yes as Suggested it would be a controlled thing community driven for everyone to see and critique as well as the veterans that is If there was any interest in that sort of thing. If there was an interest for this from War Horse, you can bet I would defiantly send them my portfolio. My thought was having the community contribute in some way. there is nothing more exciting for an up and coming artist to have some work featured in an amazing prospective title Like Kingdom come.

Any production artist with experience who works in the field would expect communication for continuity. that to me seems moot. In my enthusiasm there was also confidence in my ability not something i would offer otherwise. this is could also be used for fan art and other such things of that influence as well.

It was only an idea I just know how thrilled I would be. thought I may find some more like minded people. :smiley:
