This just started today i am 20+ hours invested into the game and when i try to open up the game it does not make it to the main menu screen and shuts down my entire computer! are there other people encountering this problem and how do i fix it?

Not to sound rude but get a new computer. My guess is that your computer can’t handle the graphics. Kingdom come is easily one of the most graphically demanding games out there.

sounds like a heat problem (maybe!?)

Been having the same problem for a few days as well. 10+ hours in and the game was running fine on high(no heat issues).
started happening when I cancelled mid fast travel once(not sure if that’s related). tried reinstalling and starting a new game but problem popped up again an hour into my game.
Well I am having the same problem. Only difference is that the game crashes and reboot my computer when a cinematic cutscene starts to play. Dunno why. Before that the game is playing nice and I have around 40 - 60 FPS on high details. Not any other problem. I tried to lower the details to low but it doens’t solved this problem.

Sorry for digging out this old thread but I’m having exacly the same issue: game crushing ad cutscene and computer reboots. Have you solved this problem? Do you have any tips?
To be honest, I don’t know if I still have this problem or not because I already completed the main game and I am planning to play it again once all DLC are out. But there are some cinematic cutscenes in both DLC, From Ashes and Amourous adventures of Hans Capon and the game didn’t crash so I assume that for me, the problem was fixed in some update either for game by warhorse or mayby for my nvidia graphic card. But back in the february I think I almost completely solved it by plaing the game in windowed mode and keep the same 1080p resolution. You could try it and see if this my solution will help you. To me it surely did.
Have you checked your log files inside in the KCD folder and in an event viewer?
In event viewer I have error 41 (63): “The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first”. And about log files inside KCD folder: I can’t see anything suspicious there. What should i be looking for?
You know, windowed mode actually kind of helped. I was able to play for about an hour and see some cinematics without interruption. Thanks, I’ll be testing this more.
