Concerning any future DLC's

Howdy,

I just recently purchased the game from steam. I wasn’t aware at the time that there was available DLC’s. I admit that I was in the dark on the development besides a few odd youtube videos. I only recently found out it was actually a kickstater(I do believe that’s what it was). I’ve been doing some mild research and I’ve only found references to “Treasures of the Past” DLC as some sort of reward for kickstarters, which is understandable. I was wondering if it will be available for full release to the wider audience? Will I, someone who came in late, be able to purchase this DLC or is it a one-off thing? I don’t believe I’ve read anything that actually clarifies that, though I admit I probably missed it somewhere.

Either way, I’m very impressed with the game and I’m enjoying it so far. I appreciate Warhorses hard work on it. It’s much better than Mass Effect: Andromeda promised to be, considering facial expressions and realism, by a long margin and that alone makes me happy for my purchase.

Thanks for your time and I await a reply.

Treasures of the Past is not really a DLC in the classical way. It was for backers and the ones who prepurchased the game.

It just gives you access to five ancient treasure maps which have a Warhorse Armor in its stadhes.

But there is better Armor ingame.

Don’t know if the others will get access to it but I think you later will. But its not nescessary to enjoy the game

Okay! I just saw the abbreviation being flung around casually in articles and whatnot, with little to no clarification on the target audience besides the kickstarter crowd. Thank you so much for clarifying! I was actually getting hopeful for some DLC’s or maybe that I missed some step I should have done.

Thank you again!

Also you dont even need the DLC to find the treasure chests. All you get from the DLC is the maps itself, the chests are still in-game even without the DLC

Really? I read that you need the DLC also for the chests. But if not my mistake sorry

I forgot to add the most important part… The chests are still there even without the DLC, the only things you don’t get in the chest is the Warhorse armor…

yeah I’ts more like a gimmick no real DLC
the real DLC’s (like dog companion, maybe blacksmithing) are on their way too but first step is bugfixing

Thank you to everyone who replied!

And Martin, thank you for elaborating! I’m happy to hear I can still get the armor. I can understand some perks being for backers but like I stated earlier, I honestly thought it was a legitimate DLC for everyone.

You’re not missing much. It looks kinda cool, the tabard anyway, but it’s beaten out armor rating wise pretty fast. I found the arms and not too long after ended up putting them in a trunk because they’re worse then my other ones I’ve found but don’t want to sell them. I’m hoping for armor display in the future to put it on
