I am really interested in purchasing this game, but I’m curious about whether I can run it and also if I receive future versions of the game. This is going to sound like a stupid question, but if I purchase the tech apha, does that mean I will receive beta access and access to the final game as well?

Yes, if you buy the alpha, you will be able to play the beta and the final game, and your system is quite fine to play the game.

I have the same graphic card like you. In alpha i could play it on highest graphic settings with 30 fps and some frame drops if i for example was fast riding. But its not optimized so i guess the perfomance will be much better in beta and in the final game.
That makes me quite hopeful as I has a 680/4GB and on the 2nd highest setting I only had 25FPS. I bought a 980TI and it jumped to 45FPS, still on the second highest.
