Console Mods (PS4)

With Sony they did.

If it werent for online petitions and pressure on Pete Hines Twitter etc, Bethesda would’ve stopped. Pete said as much (essentially we’ve done what we could, now ball in Sony’s court; no mention that you PS4 users are going to get short shrift going forward out of spite — to punish Sony for not enabling mods we’re going to cease or delay product release to you PS4 users). Then, online petitions to Sony created (I’ll sell my PS4 and buy XB from now on). Etc

No way Bethesda doesn’t sell Skyrim remastered or FO4 and its associated DLC in 2015-2016 on PS4 platform if Sony said no, not to mention further products

Prioritize Xbox One over PS4. Doesn’t mean they won’t get it, or not at the same time. But us console players compare all the time. Just like people are seeing with this game, people are saying the PS4 runs better and that rankles people. Though there’s no favoritism in this case (and I honestly thought the Xbox versions would run way better due to being closer to the PC side of the equation).

My point stands. Warhorse and Deep Silver do not have the resources to make console modding happen in the near term. It is an expensive and time consuming endeavor. it is not “simple”.

If products and their timing aren’t impacted, it’s an empty threat

Daniel like Todd has gone out in his own limb re: mod support*. How extensive will it be nobody knows. But creating and enabling core infrastructure is a current goal

it is expensive and much has to be done to make it happen. That point stands. Beyond that, not much constructive to say such as how much it cost Bethesda to set up portal to upload mods and make available on console
