I put in 18 hours and was at the Third Set of charcoal Burners looking for Ginger when my game crashed, save corrupted, and I have to restart! I am incredibly frustrated, how do I get those 18 hours worth of progression back?

if you are in luck it will get fixed with the next patch. i dont know if this is even possible. otherwise you cant do anything about it. you cant share savefiles on different accounts on ps4, its blocked because of the trophies. the best way is probably to wait for the next big patch and then start a new game?
you can back up your save file on an external device or if you have a ps plus you can back it up on online storage every 2-3 hour best option you have right now or you can wait till they fix it.
note: game crash= corrupt save file
I played about 20h my game crashed and lost my save now am on a new game about 40h constantly backing up my save file but so far no crashes.
I also lost around 30 hours due to this bug, there is no way to get the files back unless they were backed up externally. I emailed WH and they said that tjey are aware of this bug and it is highest priority to be fixed, emailed again asking when it would be fixed without response, hopefully in the 1.2.5 hot fix
Even after trimming save files so I have 10 or less, starting to get fatal CE crashes more. Few things more frustrating than finishing off bandits and Cuman at one of their battle spawn points, managing all their loot and then crash. 
Yeh it really annoyed me, not gunna bother playing it again until the 1.2.5 or 1.3 updates are out

Even with back up saves you’re still not safe. I had all of my data on a external drive from my ps4. That data was still corrupted as well. Just luck of the draw. Lost over 50 hours. Not even starting over until they for sure fix this. If my external drive can be tampered with? Yeah…

i have it on PS4 it happened to me… i have send them an email they reply that it will be fixed with the 1.3 patch coming next week… so i hope the game will recognize my corrupt saves because loosing 30h plus of gameplay and do it all over again with the fear that it will happen again is a no… and just disrespectful towards the gamers who just want to have fun playing a game they bought 60€
Yeah I mentioned that Youtube beta guy you’re speaking of on another thread. Kind of sucks that for two damn years they knew about it. Didn’t fix it and then knowing that? Released it on a full price AAA game to the public. I think that is very bad business no matter how big or small your studio is. Hopefully they fix it quick and do some massive kiss ass to the console players it steamrolled. I want the game to do well, but they should have been forth coming about these massive issues on console.
