Ok, I have been saying nothing but praise about this game untill I made a new game and became thief and then this is where I ran into serious problems with the crime system. It started when I would be seen doing crimes when nobody was around and I killed all witnesses. I’ve been in the middle of nowhere and knockout some wayfarer with noone around. then in the nearest town I have to pay to talk to anyone. Also sometimes I just will be just in my inventory or map and when I close out of the menus near an npc suddenly it will say I’ve commited a crime when I did absolutely nothing but close my menus. I will just be walking around and the text will come up saying how people will remember my bad bahvior and I hadnt done anything. This stuff happens all the time randomly. now Im having a big problem where whenever I train with Captain Bernard, once were done and out of the ring he will arrest me and make me pay for hurting him EVEN THOUGH WE WERE TRAINING IN THE RING. None of this happened in my first playthrough but I didn’t do much thieving then but I did do alot of training with bernard so I have no clue whats going on and I feel the crime system is at the end of the list of things the devs are working on fixxing. Has anyone else had similar problems? This is my favorite game in the past like 10 years but I hate getting so mad when I just randomly have to pay 200 gold for absolutely nothing. Ugh.
Last week I arrived in Uschitze for a new horse. I talked to the merchant did his side quest and came back in the night. After using the waiting option my popularity sunk to -75. My last save was too long ago so I decided to live with it.
Now I arrived in Ledetschko and went for the sword of St. Georg. After that I participated in the bow tournier, which failed because i openend an (empty) fish reuse. Also quite annoying since I had 1st place. After sleeping I got a thieving mark out of no where and i had to pay a fine. The popularity did not take a hit, by the way.
