Damage on weapons isn't adding up

I have two longswords and the one with higher stats does less damage I’m curious as to why or is this a bug? I’ve posted the stats below as well as pictures; so how come the Magdeburg’s damage on my stats sheet is stab 63, slash 63, blunt 3 while the Merchant’s damage comes out to stab 65, slash 65, blunt 3? Also I have the strength to wield either one.

Magdeburg sword: min stg 11, stab dmg 57, slash dmg 57, blunt dmg 3, defence 126, condition 100%

Merchant’s sword: min stg 5, stab dmg 49, slash dmg 49, blunt dmg 2, defence 94, condition 98%

You didn’t post it’s main damage which is listed on the main item page. I don’t know how they calculate it but it’s probbaly main+slash/stab/blunt or main*slash/stab/blunt either way the main stat raises the damage.

Are you sure that you have enough points in STR to handle the second sword properly?

Yes, I said in the post I have the strength to wield either one. My strength is at 11 right now.

Thought I knew, then I checked the wiki and i’m wrong.

The number on the main inventory page is “shown only for weapons and shows their attacking power.” That’s what the Codex’s tutorial tab says it is. Which it seems to be the higher number out of the three dmg types (stab, slash, or blunt). I just posted the item info which gives more detail. So your math would not add up correctly.

Magdeburg would be 57.
Merchant’s would be 49.

Again, I posted before looking online to check if I was way off…

Could you post your character’s stats and buff table?
