Dropped an nVidia 1060 GTX Extreme into my rig in readiness for KCD. Rig has plenty of wallop to it. However, I now notice that whenever I have been gaming for any length of time in KCD on exiting the game all the colours on the machine desktop look desaturated or washed out, on a reboot the default colour saturation returns. I haven’t noticed this phenomenon with any other games that I run. My question is, has anyone else noticed this effect at all after playing KCD? Any feedback would be welcome.

Yes I did. nVidia 980 GTX. No clue what it causes nor how to solve it.

Probably original gamma value is not re-initialized when you close the game. So you must wait for the patch or maybe you can change it back in your graphics card control panel.

Same issue here, GTX1070 latest drivers with a Dell S2716dg Gsync monitor.
I have found no solution for this, i thought its a Gsync problem but now i have more clarity that its not.

Same here on a nVidia 1070 GTX and Dell U2715H monitor. Seems to me that the gamma corrections you make ingame stick to the overall desktop environment and takes also to other games (i noticed all my blacks in War Thunder turned to grey).
Odd thing here: Changing the gamme correction again in KCD now does nót take to other environments, so War Thunder is still washed out

I have an r9 390 and it tricks my desktop into bright colours everytime i launch the game.
I notice some more brightness as soon as i launch the game from steam or desktop, the game launcher becomes brighter in coincidence with the white screen load. from there i have grey icons on my windows taskbar and bright icons on my desktop with washed colours instead of my dark windows scheme. steam is clear grey. everything’s messed up to the point i thought it was my 42" Led Tv suffering of old age, it’s almost 10 years old.

It is a major problem since it messes with windows colour profile.
Same. Gtx 760. I upped the Gamma value and now it brightens my monitor every time i run the game. This needs a fix. I went into nvidia control panel under adjust desktop color settings i checked “use nvidia settings” but this didn’t work. might work for some of you guys tho, give it a try.
