I didn’t try it yet, but he went easy down against my halberd. Did you try bow?

But did you face him in hc mode and post the latest patch? If not wh put in a little surprise 
No, I didn’t. I played normal mode with Ashes DLC. I didn’t get far in hardcore.

Well all i can say is i rage quit for the 1st time. You have to do Prybislavitz in 1 go. I played the mission took one hour. Died at runt. Reloaded in talmberg…grrrrrr

Just getting to talk to Radzig during Ginger in a Pickle…however the bandit on the road who is putting the other one out of his misery gave me a run for my money, first hard fight so far for some reason this guy would block everything. Anyway, he killed me once…second time I pulled a bow and figured I’d do some damage before the fight, hit him right in the head for an insta kill…so realistic, so anti climactic…I think I’ll go bow and mace/shield for Runt when I get to him and bow/2h sword for the rest of the game if possible.
Usually a better piercing arrow with bane potion works really well. Just put bane on your sword, mace or whatever weapon you use. It will kill him pretty fast, or at least do enough damage to make him have as much HP as a peasant bandit.
Ya that sounds like a good set up sense 2h sword uses strength in stead of agility Good way to break there defense
Not in hc mode. Put bane on my sword and he still killed me
Shoot him in the face once with an arrow. Worked for me.
On hard-core? You sure

He wears a faceplate helmet now so that option is gone

Yeah that’s what I was getting at. With the face plate it’s extremely hard to kill him even with better piecing arrows all coated with bane potion. Unless you’ve grafted your strenght and bow skill you don’t have the power or technic to get through the face plate
Mace and Shield and Headcracker/Headsplitter/whatever it’s called lol? Mace should do well against helmet because it’s blunt. Mix that with Headcracker perk and a shield to soak up some blows yourself and that’s probably the easiest route.
I really wanna be a 2h user this time around, even if I die. I want a shield and mace setup for archers so I don’t get picked off. In my original play through I was going to do this but mace and shield worked so well and I put points into combos that I just stuck with it and it was kind of too easy/OP.
So mace and shield probably for runt, lest I grind with Cpt Bernard for days which I may do, and 2h and bow for the rest minus those pesky archers
wonder how runt would do with Capons hunting bow modded to 110 ( I call my war bow) and modded bane poison( -480 @ -1.5 dmg/sec) better piercing arrows and ceremonial mace with mod bane.
That or you high on rage potion and him in a corner with you RIGHT ON TOP of him using 18 unarmed skill.
maybe you could get him close to the ladder, adjust position and grapple/push him off the ledge out of the church? I’m not sure you can win a grapple against him but maybe…
