Please… is he digging or is he sweeping the floor? I see no tension in his arms. If you think that digging is that easy – even with a ho(u)e or mattock –, go and try it by yourself.

The game is not Medieval Digging Simulator. Do you know how long it would take to dig a perfectly square grave? Where does all the dirt go? It’s just one small element of the game and one where convenience takes precedence over reality.

First, digging with a hoe doesn’t work like that.
Second, the idea was to make it look as if the peasant (Tobi?) is putting some effort into it. Because currently it looks… well, quite amusing.
But if it doesn’t bother you…

I’m all for more enthusiastic digging! 
I definitely dig hoes. Tbh the animation looks a bit weird at the moment, even if I can’t exactly pinpoint why. Maybe make it better as the final stretch goal?
