Digital copy of Act I (Kickstarter) vs Full Game Access (Website)

Firstly I did not pledge but no other category seems to cover this topic.

Why does a purchase on the kickstarter refer to a digital copy of Act I vs digital copy with full game access on the website? Why are they worded differently? How do the products differ?

Once upon a time, when a Kickstarter campaign has been in action, the game was supposed to consist of three acts. Now, the game is a standalone (not just because of time constraints, but also because the game now spans a bit into what was Act II).
