Disable invisible barriers?

Hello!
Can anyone give me some advice how to remove/disable proxy colliders?
I’ve done some searching in GameData.pak, and even though I’ve edited surfacetypes.xml, there’s still no change in what happens ingame.

I’m trying to remove the deep water barrier, so I added “no_collide=1” to the physics properties of the “deep_water_barrier” material, as well as adjusted pierceability.

So my question is, is there another file that defines the behaviour of invisible barriers? and what does pierceabilty mean, is it just for arrows/interaction, or does it also alter if the player can move through the object?
