Honestly not a big fan of this game. Sad to say it as a history buff. Story telling however absolutely astonishing. The sword fighting is beyond anything I’ve played fluid and sharp. With that being said to many problems. The game lags, crashes, freezes, etc. more often the game works at its best. The game is incredibly and unrealisticly hard. I can die it 2 to 3 arrows with full metal armor but archers wearing cloth don’t seem to die as fast as I do. Not to mention the guys decked out in full armor and shield can run faster and longer than I can with minimal armor or when I’m on a horse. And the “unfairness” of the game is quite aggravating. However I like the direction this company took and I see a lot of promise in this game hope they can fix it. Cheers mates!
It sounds to me that you have to git gud
You just gotta get better stats, people that near the end of the game have the opposite problem, I bounce off arrows and onehit plated dudes with a stab.
Wait until you fully level strength and swordsmanship I cleared the entire camp during the viper nest quest just because I could. Enemies literally would die when i blocked their attacks (without a reposte) it becomes STUPID easy if you take any time to practice with Bernard
Within a day or so you can go from being completely hopeless and weak, to pretty much an unstoppable medieval killing machine. Just takes training and persistence.
The difficulty curve isn’t actually that sharp… many people are complaining that from mid game onwards it’s far too easy and that the difficulty scaling needs overhauling to make it more challenging.
Enemies should scale with you. At least to an extent, there could possibly be more powerful bandits among bandit camps. Still having the wheat and chaff you can kill in a few hits but I’ve never gotten into a fight where I was worried I would lose, even in a 1v6 I was in.

Get better at the game and all your problems will disappear (apart from the bugs which will be patched out)
