Disguise and infiltrate camp

Hi people !

I’m playing the beta, but there is a thing that I don’t understand : how to disguise

I discover the main ennemy camp, and i’m trying to infiltrate it.

So I killed few cumins before in order to have their stuff to disguise myself as an ennemy but when I went in the camp I have been immediately attack (and kill…)

What I must to do to be not recognize ?

Thanks

I have been meaning to test that myself several times, but I always found something other to do in the game.

But from what I heard a helmet with face plate helps.

dress like an cuman will help

You just have to wear cuman clothes and be sure to wear no armor (cuman or european).Tried infiltrating with full cuman armor but they attacked me as well, Then i started sneaking around the camp without armor to reduce noise but i was spotted and they runned towards me and started a conversation .
Since then i just walk around their camp in cuman clothes and you can sabotage anything without repercusssions.

I have been around the camp in full Cuman gear and have had no problems.

I usually play Diplomat as well which helps with the “speak Hungarian” speech check.

That figures, since i play as squire

Growl. The international language.

So you can’t wear any Cuman armor?

Seems to depend on the character skill you choose at the beginning.
As squire you can’t but as diplomat it seems to work and as jack of all trades I don’t know.

Yes I think that too !

I tried each solutions list here, but nothing works… Not enough charisme maybe.
Now I just waiting the night ^^
I will try with Diplomacy next time !

Thanks

Being a diplomat won’t help you if they have already recognized you and seen you kill one of their own. What you should do is start a new game. Head to the quarry and kill the green shirt Cuman. Then take all of Henry’s armor off. Put all the Cuman armor on. Then you will be disguised.

I thik that’s a bug. I killed the two cumans near woodcuters camp, gear of the one with opened helmet worked, the gear of the other (with closed helmet) din’t.

Summary/TL:DR: Diplomat (might be possible with Squire or Jack(…)). Go at night. Enter through the stables (front entrance is risky, since you might end up getting too close to a guard). Don’t wear weapons (torch seems fine). Don’t get close to the guards (whenever I get about 1-2m away from a guard they stop and then immediately attack me (tested during the day, they seem to bother less during the night). If you chose diplomat and one of the guard initiates a dialogue, use the speech option.

Diplomat seems to help a lot (as Squire, I’m finding it nearly impossible). I tried several times during the day (once with low conspicuousness and another with high conspicuousness, it seemed to work better with a high conspicuity and as much Cuman armour as possible. I was able to scout around the camp during the day, however if i got close to a guard they would attack instantly.
The second attempt I made partly during the day, infiltrating the camp from the north side (where there is a gap in the stables). I was able to loot 3 of the chests, though I kept a large distance between any guards.
I came back with vials of poison during the night (infiltrating from the stables), and kept about 4m minimum from each guard. And was not stopped while pouring poison into the first pot.
When I got the the pot at the end of the Cuman camp alongside the arrows, one of the more heavily armoured guards interrupted me twice (once while trying to poison the food, and again by the same guard while burning the arrows). I chose to use the speech option, and succeeded on both. Then walked out the way I came.
I also only wore a torch (no sword or bow) and use it to see where the guards were.

Hopefully that helps. I haven’t been able to get past the Bohemian guards up the hill (maybe the Cumans and Bandits agree to keep away from each other), so I can’t help there.

Can you dress as a bandit and enter small bandit camps? Sorry, I have not tried any of this but it seems cool. I just sit back and snipe with the bow
