Disguised bugged or intentional?

So I was trying to get into the Monastery, and I got the monk “suit” from a chest. I removed everything from my person, however they all told me to get out only monks was allowed to be in the monastery ??? I then took out a guard (and dressed his armor) and the same thing happened, you are not allowed to be here?

So I was thinking, is this a bug or can they see who you are in some magical way? In Hitman this mechanic work great, but I know that one is more fleshed out in Hitman, then again it would be nice to have the same mechanics in KCD.

prolly set that way for the monastery quest line( spoiler) where you infiltrate it late in the game.
also if you asked a monk when you first arrived he would have told you only monks are allowed in.

If you are on PC what I did was use the “cheat” mod to get the console command for invisibility ( only makes conspicuousness=0), used padfoot potion, set no lock picking. they never noticed me( heard me but no see). I had the run & stealing of the place. even stole the hard to get book.

Yeah, but it would be nice if you could disguise yourself as a monk.

Not many monks. They all know each other. Not wearing a Cuman mask, or a random bandit where random bandits are showing up all the time. It makes sense.

You can still sneak into the monastery and not get caught. You just can’t wander around pretending to be a monk.

How can they see you if you wear a hood. I think the mechanic need some work to be more interesting.

They all know each other. Go sneak into the Vatican in a hood. See how far you get.

Probally pretty far if they can’t see my face and my clothes are good enough to blend in, and it’s a game, not a monk simulator.

I think it all comes down to the fact that there are ~20 of them. They all know each other. There are only a few new faces, and they all have an initiation ceremony.

well that make sense, however you can’t use a disguise even outside the monastery, they all say hello Henry even if your face is covered LOL :smiley:
