I think it is an interesting idea to bring DLC for free after release. (Like Witcher 3)
The game stays fresh and new for a long time. The price for the game is stable and high, and every player is happy for the extra content.
It would be also cool if Warhorse brings DLCs like new armors or skins (for horses) or little extra quests after release. 
It´s a marketing instrument.
Another interesting thing:
The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine - DLC will get money (150.000€) from the EU
There are 31 Video game projects getting money from the EU…
I don´t know if @warhorse @TobiTobsen has known about this sponsorship of the EU. They should ask for 2016…
