DLC possibility

I wouldn’t mind professions being added at some point. Maybe eventually Henry is in his 30s or 40s. In those days you shouldn’t expect to live much longer as life was hard. If you did live longer you were pretty fortunate. Life expectancy was quite low. Correct me of course if I’m wrong. The age expectancy could be longer but I doubt by much especially in hard times such as war or famine.

Anyways. Being a shop owner or a Miller, Tanner, etc etc. NPCs for instance who went to hunt would come let’s say once every few days or once a week to sell u hides. Maybe there were more than one so u wouldn’t have just one customer. Than they would go sell the meat to a butcher. Use your imagination as I’m not gonna go into detail about every profession. But ya. This would be a welcome addition to the game in my oppinion.

People didn’t keel over in their 30s of old age. The life expectancy number was low because an exceptionally high infant morality rate. Some estimates say that 50% of people died before 5, but the half that made it generally lived until 50-70.

So asside from the high mortality rate of children and dying during from child birth not all that different from today.

There were other factors. Lifespans were definitely shorter. Malnutrition, lack of medicine, all that.

Ever since I first saw this thread, I’ve been reading a little more and more about it and one of the odd things is “health” and “lifespan” don’t seem to correlate well. You know all those smokers that die every year? Most of them die in their 70s. People who work all their lives live appreciably longer than people who retire. It’s pretty unpredictable.

So stop worrying about your retirement plan and smoke 'em if ya got 'em:P

Lol. Glad I could peak your interest in a subject. Smoke em if u got em. Man that beings some memories lol.

Essentially if you lived to 25, then you were most likely going to live into your seventies. I dont think theyll do anything to advance the story that far though, namely because everything in the game thus far is set in the year 1403

Id expect to see as dlc the following;
Act 3,
Horse Armours (i know, but Id be very surprised if this didnt happen),
Tournament fights - including combat, wrestling and jousting (questline attatched?).

Id like to see these in either dlc or updates:
Perhaps a dlc about Henrys fathers past (reaching into Prague?),
More wayfarers,
Blacksmithing (if they ever work out the issues),
Purchase of property?
Jobs (similar to your idea, only instead of owning establishments, you could work to earn a living - carrying sacks for the miller, transcribing documents for scribes, butchering meat, working for the huntsman etc. This would prevent an easy income).
Crossbows.

OK, I figured out what I’d like to see for DLC.

Expanded relationships. Not necessarily quest lines, but storylines. A Launcelot/Guenivere style storyline with Lady Stephanie would be great. Pursuing Theresa to marriage perhaps. The ability to stop into Uzhits and have a drink with Father Godwin now and then. Just take the friendships you create and extend them. The characters are so well done, the fact that quests with them end and you never really talk to them again sucks.

I’d like to see this as well. Great idea. A year from now I can only hope we will see something cool as dlc or just implemented. I’d bet we will see something.

I’d love them to add a bunch more scenes with the people you meet and build a connection with like Father Godwin, Theresa, etc.
