That is kinda what they are doing. They will do what they promised the backers and probably move on to act 2 which will be another 60 bucks.
They could give us some free update stuff like the Easter update but that is about it.
they could put out a smaller DLC with a bunch of little stuff asked for that would be in the $15 +/- range.

According to WHS former Kickstarter goals here:
It seemed as though BOTH acts I & II were released for the game back in Feb based on how the game is designed to leave players hanging? HOWEVER, if you check the rewards Description (bottom of page) and the backer ranks, it now seems that only Act I was released? And that Act II will be delivered in another 7 months from now (based on Feb release), with Act III 9 months after that?
So given that WHS is still focused on patching this beta release, what Act(s) is the player base really testing? Act I? Acts I & II? And regardless of what Act(s) weāre currently beta testing, will WHS be able to honor their Kickstarter goals and push out the remaining Acts for the game on schedule?

And they are all 60 bucksš Which really sucks. I think they should be DLCs.
But I really donāt know how everything works yet.
My understanding was that they planed on making three games. The first game had three acts(as most stories do). But by the time they finished act two they had plenty of content for a game and an impatient publisher so they released early.

That is where I was confused. Because it said 3 games I thought they were talking about the acts.
3 acts total would not stretch out the income life for this game.
Now 3 games like the witcher series would and each one having 3 actsā¦

I hope they relies act three as a DLC. Free for backers. Then around Christmas put out a special edition with the whole thing on disc(including all patches). I would Give them another 60 bones for that(20 for the dlc, 40 for the special edition) and the backers would be satisfied.

Iād much rather they released Act III free for the backers----to beta test the #@!%^&@ out of.
BEFORE releasing this player tested version for public consumption aka to US the Peasant masses.
Who, by the virtue of being at the bottom of WHS food chain, have unwittingly made them so many millions in profit to date.

The good news:
I genuinely admire your optimism. Itās a ray of sunshine in my starkly pragmatic ā albeit pro pessimisticāworld.
Now for the bad news:
Thanks to Steamās $20 fire sale on Skyrim SE (massive discount with all 3 Skyrim DLC), this 64 bit version of Skyrim now outranks Legacy Skyrim on Steamās top 100 for the very first time in SSE release history. And as a direct result of this fickle fanboy ADHD (aka abandonment of playing KCD for a more sandbox game with 3 massive DLC) KCD has just fell out of Steamās top 100 games after only 8 wks of release.

If PC Update 1.4.2 proves stable, then it will be interesting to see if Steam PC gamers will reconsider picking up KCD where they left off playing the game.
Assuming they arenāt permanently side tracked by all the seductive, new shiny advantages SSE + Nexus Mods + Bethesdaās Creation Club content have to offer from now until at least Christmas that isā¦

I think once the game starts getting more stable we will see a lot of people change their minds 
I do think they better get on the ball though because E3 is in June and no telling what is going to happen with Bethesda and CD Project redš

Bring on E3. WTH is R* up to lately? Havenāt heard a peep from them on anything non GTAOish aka Bully 2 and YESāRDR 2.
They had better be
