And the plebs are too dumb to tell the difference between a knight and a brigand
Horse armour (i know, i know…)
Everyone is waiting on this from what I’ve heard.
Tournament fighting (including jousting?)
In what sense? Like a held tourney in-game or by way of multiplayer?
Act 3
Act 3 is going to be KCD2, an entirely separate game rounding about 130-ish hours. as it’s claimed to be the longest game out of the Acts before the Act system was scrapped.
Extra armour/weapon packs.
Definitively agree. With the Hundred Years War raging at the time, I’d like to see some English and French influence armours appear, albeit extremely rare. Maybe a blackened and/or blued set, hidden away in a Lord’s stash because of how ridiculously expensive a suit like that would’e cost.
DLC about Henrys fathers origins (extending into Prague?)
I don’t know how difficult this would be, but it sounds doable. Kinda like the Witcher 3 where it sometimes switches to Ciri sort of thing where you play Sir Radzig or Martin? Is that what you’re going for?
Horse Racing
We already have one in-game, so this sounds easy enough.
Crossbows
Them and handgonnes were debated because of how deadly they are. Plus the animation around them are pretty intensive.
Mounted combat overhaul
This one is definitely being worked on, as Dan Vavra wanted it in the game but had to give us a very stripped down version to go with the release.
i get the game mechanic. hope in the future adjustments are made. just not convinced medieval serfs and traders would’ve responded that way (esp when king is kidnapped). (they knew status and fear). for instance, i live in Miller Peshek’s home. he’d darn well know if i were beknighted. (not). and yet, he drops the line regularly. he’s sarcastic so that could be ok if that’s how it were expressed. but, it really isn’t
Definitely Tournaments , with armorer’s, fair maidens, chivalry, gambling on events, weapon and armor prizes, for a shot at the big time
The Templars weren’t excommunicated til 1307! Just a suggestion Henry Fight’s the Byzantine’s, against Andronikos II Palaiologos, 1282–1328.
hope console controller changes come with it. play nothing but horse archer now (pending main quest fixes). canter is circle. draw shoot is R2. change POV is R stick. change horse direction L stick. can’t do those 3 things all in R whilst also using L. If i could use L stick to control speed (push down for gallop) and direction, i’d be golden
Fantasy mode, where the superstitions and mythology the historic people of the time thought actually existed, actually exist. For example, some white magic, some miracles, some witchcraft, a ghost here and there, the historic versions of monsters we see in other RPGs like demons with faces on their knees, dragons that look like the versions you see in medieval wood cuts and tapestries, goblins that are fairies or spirits rather than humanoids, stuff like that. It’d be controversial, but a witch hunt where there is an actual real witch would be pretty awesome (think like the movie ‘The Witch’).
Oh yeah i tried horse archery, main quest chase. It kept going and going so i tried to shoot him while riding… No way in hell ill ever pull that off. Luckily there was an end to the chase
Practice makes perfect
True, but there aren’t that many instances where its remotely necessary. So ill have to be really bored with sword fighting before i put much practice into that
It’s never necessary . If you ever decide to change your mind and want to harvest battle spawn points, head to flat clearing on loop WNW of Rattay. And then go back and forth between there and E of there (eg, go to ancient treasure map ruins; 2 potential ambush points). unlimited practice opportunities await
yeeeees, this!!!
Tournament fighting in any sense to be honest, but with frequent melee tournament appearances in the trailers, and the countless, useless combat arenas in game, something like this seems likely to turn up.
Didnt they state somewhere that their next game wouldnt be a sequel, but would be a stand alone game?
I imagined playing as henry looking into martins past (present tense), but something ciri-esque would work i imagine.
