No. From what I heard you can load your save game with this patch and everything is cool but in my opinion, starting a new game is always the best choice.

Also deleting all old saves helps, however it is always going to be the case, you better start new game after each patch.
I have continued my playthrough from 1.5 with the two subsequent patches and everything went just fine.
I am playing since 1.4.3 and I have many bugs that are appearing since patch 1.5.
Devs DID recommend a new restart with 1.5 patch, specifically.
I was far in game to restart and when I spotted problems.
It is indeed a real pain that a patch may cause problems in ongoing playthroughs in a game that potentially has 100hour-ish till completion. I would be seriously mad if I had to start a new one because my current playthrough is broken by a patch.
Game was not broken, I finished it long time ago, but many bugs just annoyed me. I couldn’t finish one side quest because of bug.
It depends on the last patch you played on. If you played during 1.3 then it will be based on how far you are in the game. Any patches before that should be ok to return to.
